The Offspring is an American punk-rock band from Garden Grove, California.

The band was formed in 1984 originally under the name Manic Subsidal. The Offspring has consisted of lead vocalist and guitarist Bryan Holland ("Dexter"), bassist Greg K., guitarist Kevin Wasserman ("Noodles") and drummer Pete Paradasince 2007.

Over the course of their 35-year career, the band released 9 albums and experienced lineup changes, most noticeably with their drummers. Their longest-serving drummer was Ron Welty, who replaced original drummer James Lilja in 1987, and stayed with the band for 16 years; he was replaced by Atom Willard in 2003, and then four years later by Pete Parada.

The Offspring is often credited, alongside other California based punk bands such as Green Day, Rancid, Bad Religion, NOFX, Blink-182, Pennywise and AFI - for reviving mainstream interest in punk rock in the late 1990s.

Papa Roach, originating from Vacaville, California, emerged onto the rock scene in 1993. Initially featuring lead vocalist Jacoby Shaddix, guitarist Jerry Horton, drummer Dave Buckner, bassist Will James, and trombonist Ben Luther, the band soon evolved with Tobin Esperance replacing James. They began independently, releasing EPs before signing with DreamWorks Records in 1999. Their breakthrough came with the triple-platinum album Infest (2000), followed by the gold-certified Lovehatetragedy (2002) and platinum-certified Getting Away with Murder (2004). Following lineup changes, including Tony Palermo replacing Buckner in 2007, Papa Roach continued their journey with albums like Metamorphosis (2009), Time for Annihilation (2010), The Connection (2012), F.E.A.R. (2015), Crooked Teeth (2017), and Who Do You Trust? (2019). Their latest, Ego Trip, hit shelves on April 8, 2022, marking their eleventh studio release.
