Per Allan Magnus Claësson Uggla, who goes by just Magnus Uggla, was born in the beautiful city of Stockholm, Sweden in 1954. He listened to many different Swedish artists growing up, and he cites different musicians as influences for his own music, including David Bowie, The Clash, Marc Bolan, and Wendy Carlos. Magnus first began his music career by serving as the leader for the rock band JUSO. The band never really took off, and they didn’t sell many copies of their music. After he went solo in the 70s, he took his music to a different direction from the usual glam and art rock and was met with more success than ever. He’s been recognized by several Swedish magazines since then and remains a pillar in Swedish music.
