Stereophonics, a Welsh rock band formed in 1992 in Cwmaman, Cynon Valley, have become one of the most iconic acts in British rock. The current lineup features Kelly Jones (lead vocals, lead guitar, keyboards), Richard Jones (bass guitar, harmonica, backing vocals), Adam Zindani (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Jamie Morrison (drums, percussion), and Tony Kirkham (keyboards) as a touring member. The group previously included Stuart Cable (1992–2003) and Javier Weyler (2004–2012) on drums. Over the years, Stereophonics have released twelve studio albums, with eight reaching number one in the UK. Their compilation album *Decade in the Sun* (2008) charted at number two on the UK Albums Chart.Often described as having a "classic UK rock" sound with "whiskey vocals," Stereophonics blend alternative rock with a British traditional rock vibe.
