Journey, an American rock band, was established in 1973 in San Francisco by ex-members of Santana, Steve Miller Band, and Frumious Bandersnatch. As of 2024, the lineup includes Neal Schon (original member and guitarist/vocalist), Jonathan Cain (keyboardist/guitarist/vocalist), Jason Derlatka (keyboardist/vocalist), Deen Castronovo (drummer/vocalist), Todd Jensen (bassist), and Arnel Pineda (lead vocalist).

The band saw its peak commercial success from 1978 to 1987 with Steve Perry as the lead singer, releasing hits like "Don't Stop Believin'"—which became a record-setting track on iTunes in 2009—and albums like Escape, which hit number one on the Billboard 200. Their music, including the successful follow-up album Frontiers, gained significant popularity in both the U.S. and the UK.

Journey has been recognized with 25 gold and platinum albums and a diamond certification for their Greatest Hits collection. They've achieved 19 top-40 US singles and are known for their shift from progressive rock to a more mainstream pop/rock sound. They have sold 52 million albums in the US and over 100 million worldwide, ranking them among the best-selling bands globally. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017, celebrating members from different eras of the band's history. Journey remains a staple in arena rock and continues to be celebrated on rock radio stations and music channels worldwide.
