If you’ve ever wanted to see a sports show that was more show than sport, you should probably check out the Harlem Globetrotters. The Globetrotters are an exhibition basketball team that keeps your eyes glued to the court, both out of excitement for the game and awe for their moves. They combine neat tricks and theater into their plays, finding a perfect combination between the track and theater. The Harlem Globetrotters play in many cities across the US, and as such, have a bit of a following where ever they go.

Fans of the Harlem Globetrotters can likely find a seat in the stands in 2019 because they have plenty of dates. Most of these games are held in the same city or state several times before they move on to the next location, starting on January 12th in North Charleston. Places you can see them include Columbus, Memphis, Fresno, Murray, Ada, Omaha, Albany, and Moline. You can even see them in select areas in England and Spain. The last date for the year is on May 19th in Bandalona.

      Harlem Globetrotters Background

The Harlem Globetrotters basketball team was founded in 1926 by Abe Saperstein. The team slowly transitioned into adding more and more trick shots and other neat stunts into their routines, until they were known more for their style than their sports. There are currently 52 players on the team from all around the US. The Globetrotters have inspired many movies and series from their team, including Go, Man, Go! and The Super Globetrotters.
