      09 November 2023 (Thursday) 19:00

The Streets is an alternative hip-hop group from Birmingham, England. The group started several years ago in the 90s, but has kept up with the times and continued their reign in English music. Some of their work has gone unnoticed, but for the most part, everything they release is loved by fans and casual listeners alike.

The group is ready to rock the cold season with their live performances. Their next date is on January 26th in Manchester, Great Britain. Following that show, they’re visiting several other cities, including Sheffield, London, Luxembourg, and Euralille. Their last scheduled date for 2019 is currently on February 15th in Utrecht, Netherlands.

      The Streets Background

The Streets is an English hip-hop band with Mike Skinner as the leader and instrumentalist. Though Skinner is the sole current member of the band, past members include Kevin Mark Trail, Chris Brown, Laura Vane, Wayne Bennett, and Leo the Lion, among others. These members have lent their vocals and instrumental talent to the group, creating a unique voice and style with each new album and single.

The group played for a few years without a label and gathered a few fans here and there. But the real success came when they were picked up in 2001 by the Locked On label. This brought them more exposure, and their first album, Original Pirate Material, was a hit. Critics and fans both enjoyed their first official work together, and the album was nominated for the Mercury Prize in the UK.

      The Streets’ Greatest Hits

The Streets have worked hard on several hit songs in their career. Some of their most famous music includes “Has It Come to This?”, “Don’t Mug Yourself”, “Let’s Push Things Forward”, “Fit But You Know It”, “Weak Become Heroes”, “Dry Your Eyes” and their latest, “Call Me in the Morning”.
