Billie Eilish has become very popular very quickly. She sticks to mostly electro-pop music and always puts out strange, yet fitting music videos for her songs. Her sad songs seem to resonate with many of the teenagers and youth, although they’re not her only audience members.

      Billie Eilish Background

Surprisingly, Billie Eilish actually goes by her real name. She was born in 2001 in Los Angeles, California. Her family seemed to create a great environment to foster her musical creativity, as she comes from a family of musicians and actors. As is the case with many young stars today, Billie Eilish was noticed online through her SoundCloud account. She posted her single, “Ocean Eyes,” to the platform and became an instant hit.

She was then signed to Interscope Records and released the music video to “Ocean Eyes.” She released a few more songs, some of which were co-written with her brother, Finneas, and some of which she wrote independently. Her work is described as a reflection of what many young people feel, but can't express.

      Billie Eilish’s Greatest Hits

Although she’s not even 18 yet, Billie Eilish has written and released some amazing music. She’s gotten a lot of attention for not only her vocals, but her personality and spirit during music videos. A few of her most popular songs are “Bellyache”, “Six Feet Under”, “Bored”, “Lovely”, “You Should See Me In a Crown”, “When The Party’s Over” and “Come Out And Play”.

      05 March 2025 (Wednesday) 19:00

Franz Ferdinand is a Scottish rock band that was formed in Glasgow in 2002. They are recognized as one of the leading bands in the post-punk revival movement, with multiple top 20 hits in the UK. Over the years, the band has received several Grammy nominations and has won two Brit Awards, including Best British Group, along with an NME Award.
The original lineup featured Alex Kapranos (lead vocals, lead guitar, keyboards), Nick McCarthy (rhythm guitar, keyboards, vocals), Bob Hardy (bass guitar, percussion), and Paul Thomson (drums, percussion, backing vocals). In 2017, Julian Corrie (keyboards, lead guitar, backing vocals) and Dino Bardot (rhythm guitar, backing vocals) joined the band after McCarthy's departure in 2016. Audrey Tait (drums, percussion) became part of the group in 2021 following Thomson's exit.
Franz Ferdinand's first single, "Darts of Pleasure," peaked at number 44 on the UK Singles Chart, just missing the Top 40. Their second single, "Take Me Out," marked their commercial breakthrough, reaching number three on the UK chart and receiving international recognition. This song became their signature hit and earned a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal. Their debut album, *Franz Ferdinand*, released in 2004, won the prestigious Mercury Prize and was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Alternative Album.
In 2005, they released their second album, *You Could Have It So Much Better*, produced by Rich Costey. It achieved top-ten chart positions in multiple countries and garnered Grammy nominations for Best Alternative Album and the single "Do You Want To." Their third album, *Tonight: Franz Ferdinand*, released in January 2009, showcased a shift from their post-punk roots to a more dance-oriented sound. A remix album, *Blood*, followed in July 2009.
Four years later, in 2013, the band released their fourth album, *Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action*. In 2015, they collaborated with American rock band Sparks to form the supergroup FFS, releasing a self-titled album. After McCarthy's departure, they released their fifth album, *Always Ascending*, in February 2018.

She gained international fame by winning the Eurovision Song Contest twice, representing Sweden with the songs "Euphoria" in 2012 and "Tattoo" in 2023. In 2005, she released her debut single "The Snake" in collaboration with the band Rob'n'Raz and later became a television presenter for TV400. While building her career behind the scenes as a segment producer and director for various Swedish reality TV shows, she made a strong comeback in the music scene by entering Melodifestivalen 2011 with "My Heart Is Refusing Me," which became a top 10 hit in Sweden. She continued her success with two more top 20 hits in Sweden: "Crying Out Your Name" in 2012 and her Melodifestivalen 2017 entry "Statements."
